Business Applications Manager - Investment/Asset Management

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and automate reports, and interactively build and prototype dashboards to provide insights.
  • Develop and automate system integration points to reduce reliance on manual processes.
  • Day to day administration of SugarCRM, DST, Qlik, Concur and other financial and reporting systems.
  • Conduct business needs analysis against existing technology and support processes to determine technology needs.
  • Assemble and present business requirements, functional specifications, project statements and various other required project artifacts.
  • Apply techniques to identify issues and work with the project team leads to coordinate and implement mitigation plans.
  • Monitor assigned activities and tasks to ensure projects remain on schedule and within approved scope/budget.
  • Communicate an accurate and timely status of activities for assigned projects to the management team.
  • Coordinate all requests to adjust project scope, budget or schedule as needed through the project leads in adherence to the formal change management process.
  • Contribute to the development of testing requirements to validate application changes and support business processes.
  • Support beta testing, quality assurance, end-user acceptance testing and validation for new or revised applications.
  • Ensure newly implemented/revised applications and supporting processes meet end-user requirements and business objectives.
  • Monitor and document post-implementation problems and revision requests.
  • Consult with stakeholders to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope, usage, formatting, and security requirements.
  • Write and maintain functional specifications for new or modified business systems and track and document changes to functional and business specifications.
  • Create or assist others in the writing of user documentation, instructions and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Economics, Business Administration or a related filed (US or foreign degree equivalent)
  • 5 years of experience with using CRM software
  • 5 years of experience with project planning/management to include 3 years managing multiple projects across various business groups
  • 5 years of experience with SQL, Data Analysis and Data Mining and Business Intelligence (BI)
  • 5 years of experience with creating reports and/or interactive dashboards for executive management and various departments
  • 3 years of experience with acting as liaison between business and IT department
  • 3 years of experience with problem solving and reducing risk by recognizing patterns, trends or “red flags” in data Travel 20% (domestic).
