Position Overview
Perform routine clerical and administrative functions to support internal sales desk. Following an introductory period, study for Series 7 and then Series 63. Upon passing both exams, eligible to begin training for the Internal Wholesaler position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
All areas of responsibility listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position by any/all incumbents, with reasonable accommodation, if necessary. Any non-essential functions are assumed to be other related duties.

  • Set up and manage paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents, correspondence, or other material.
  • Maintain scheduling and event calendars. Schedule and confirm appointments for external wholesalers in the role of in house scheduler for an external sales territory.
  • Assist with reimbursement and advisor reimbursements forms.
  • Create and maintain database and spreadsheet files; trade and operational
  • Conduct various operational tasks; conduct sales reporting tasks, trade assignments in Sugar CRM and work closely with accounting team.
  • Prepare for and pass both Series 7 and Series 63 Licenses. (Months 3-6)
  • Participate and successfully complete Internal Wholesaler training course. (Months 7-9)
  • Participate and successfully complete phone sales skill training course. (Months 9-12)
  • Maintain office supplies and machines, ensuring service as needed.
  • Other administrative or clerical tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Study and pass NASD Series 7 & 63 within six months of hire for Internal Sales promotion.
  • Prior office experience preferred.
  • Prior experience with the Microsoft Suite of programs including Outlook, Word and Excel is required. Although not required, to perform this job successfully, an individual would ideally have knowledge of Contact Management systems including Sugar.
  • Highly dependable; responds to management direction and completes tasks while following appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Commitment to teamwork; supports efforts of Internal Sales desk and balancing team and individual responsibilities.
  • Strong communication skills; speaks and writes clearly and informatively, gaining clarification when needed.
