Position Overview
Support the Investor Relations Department with subscription and closing processes including document preparation and dissemination. Field closing-related inquiries from financial advisors and investors. Aid with post-closing investor communications including distribution information and periodic reporting for all private equity programs (DST and QOF).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Investor Relations Department with investment processing, ensure subscriptions are in good order, flag outstanding items for follow-up.
  • Professionally provide verbal and written follow-up to investors and financial advisors, answer questions related to operational policies, and investment and closing processes; route inquiries to appropriate department(s) when necessary.
  • Assist with the coordination and dissemination of investor welcome letters, closing communications, distribution confirmations, and periodic reporting.
  • Help prepare internal closing documentation including beneficial ownership certificates and closing statements.
  • Coordinate completion of investor OFAC checks and advisor broker checks as appropriate and applicable.
  • Partner with marketing to ensure kits are fulfilled and recorded compliantly.
  • Assist with internal report preparation including kit request reports and daily subscription reports.
  • Provide clerical aid including investor mailings, filing and document organization.

Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • 2-4 years of experience in financial industry. Experience in Operations or Customer Service capacity.
  • BA/BS degree preferred, but not required; High School diploma required and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience working with financial advisors, broker dealers and investors.
  • Understanding of the financial service or investment banking environment. Understanding of the 1031 Tax Deferred Exchange and knowledge of Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) Industry a plus.
  • General knowledge of all MS Office applications specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
