Position Overview
Responsible for day to day operations of Salesforce and associated applications used by the Griffin Capital Securities team. The incumbent will assist the Business Application Manager with ensuring data integrity, data modeling, user education, business process improvement, report generation and overall administration of Salesforce for all departments. The incumbent will liaise between business units, 3rd party consultants, and the technical team to ensure all relevant feedback is collected and testing is completed for changes to the Salesforce application stack.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
All areas of responsibility listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position by any/all incumbents, with reasonable accommodation, if necessary. Any non-essential functions are assumed to be other related duties.

  • Day to day administration of Salesforce and related systems, including DST SalesConnect.
  • Create and manage user Profiles, Roles and general system Profile / Permission security.
  • Manage system data integrity including duplicate record cleanup.
  • Develop and automate reports, and iteratively build and prototype dashboards to provide actionable insights.
  • Create or assist others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and procedures.
  • Assemble and present business requirements, functional specifications, project statements and various other required project artifacts.
  • Apply techniques to identify issues and work with the project team leads to coordinate and implement mitigation plans.
  • Monitor assigned activities and tasks to ensure projects remain on schedule and within approved scope/budget.
  • Communicate an accurate and timely status of your activities for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate all requests to adjust project scope, budget or schedule as needed through the project leads in adherence to the formal change management process.
  • Contribute to the development of testing requirements to validate application changes and supporting business processes.
  • Support beta testing, quality assurance, end-user acceptance testing and validation for new or revised applications.

Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (i.e. Business, Economics); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Salesforce Administration certification required.
  • 3+ years’ experience required as Salesforce administrator.
  • 3+ years’ experience required in supporting Salesforce for the financial industry preferably Alternative Investments or Mutual Funds.
  • Understanding workflow and direct involvement with managing applications from DST or other Transfer Agents.
  • 3+ years’ experience in Sales, Marketing and community cloud.
  • 3+ years’ experience in creating Profiles, Roles and general system Profile / Permission security.
  • 3+ years’ experience in custom objects, field security, reports, Dashboards (both dynamic and static).
  • 3+ years’ experience with advanced Excel usage.
  • 3+ years’ experience developing advanced SQL queries.
  • 2+ years’ experience in Salesforce Declarative Development.
  • 1+ years’ experience in Salesforce lightning components.
  • 1+ years’ experience in Salesforce triggers and workflow management.

Additionally, the following skills are desired, but not required:

  • Experience in JSON, HTML, JAVA, XML, jQuery and VBA programming.
  • Experience with SOAP/REST API integration
  • Experience designing and developing dashboards and reports in a BI Tool a plus
