Griffin Institutional Access Real Estate Fund Declares and Pays Initial Shareholder Dividend

Los Angeles, CA. (October 6, 2014) Griffin Institutional Access Real Estate Fund (“GIREX” or the “Fund”), a closedend, interval fund registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940 that provides individuals the opportunity to invest in a portfolio of private real estate funds and public real estate securities, announced today it paid shareholders an initial quarterly dividend. Shareholders of record as of September 25, 2014 received a distribution of $0.30139 per share payable on September 29, 2014. Since the Fund began reporting on NASDAQ under the ticker GIREX on June 30, 2014 at a share price of $25.00, GIREX has generated positive results.

As of September 30, 2014 the Fund has returned 1.65%. The Fund’s inception date was June 30, 2014. GIREX gross expense ratio is 2.63%. Performance data quoted represents past performance. Purchases of $1,000,001 or more may be subject to a contingent deferred sales charge on shares redeemed during the first 365 days after their purchase. The redemption fee on shares repurchased within 365 days of purchase (as a percent of proceeds) is 2.00%. The Fund has contractually agreed to waive its fees to the extent that they exceed 1.91% until June 30, 2015. Without the waiver the expenses would have been higher.
